THE CLEARING

Suitable for secondary school audiences of up to 35 students.
The story unfolds in a forest clearing after an ecological crisis has brought about the breakdown of society. ‘The Clearing’ offers time and space for young audiences to explore the struggle for place and belonging when living in a broken world. The play and integrated workshop help audiences to explore what it means to take responsibility for yourself and others in a world that has collapsed. It is an exploration of community and connection in the face of fragmentation, and social & ecological breakdown.
A Theatre in Education programme including live theatre and integrated workshop designed for up to 35 pupils across Key stage 4 and 5. Provides teachers with a creative stimulus for delivery across the curriculum, and is supported by a cross-curricular Teachers’ Resource.
