"Away from Home"

In the Summer of 2014, Big Brum undertook the project Away from Home, kindly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project was set inside the heritage venue Highbury Hall, in Birmingham. Away from Home explored the outbreak of World War One through the experience of one young volunteer. Young participants became researchers and archivists as they explored this young man's story, before seeing it brought to life through drama.
